The visiting team spent four days at the school, observing classes and speaking to teachers, administrators, students, and parents.
We are very happy to report that the visiting team has recommended to MSA that the school be reaccredited, and has affirmed the school’s action plan for improvement as well as providing a framework for accountability for those improvements over the next three years. Thank you very much to the faculty and staff for all their hard work, and for their continued commitment to improving AISL over the next seven years.
History of Accreditation
1999 – The American International School of Lomé is accredited for the first time. This accreditation is valid from Pre-K through Grade 8. At that time our high school was affiliated with the University of Nebraska Independent Study High School for Grades 9 – 12.
2010 – The American International School of Lomé is re-accredited from Pre-K through Grade 8. Grades 9 and 10 are newly accredited. AISL is now accredited from Pre-K through Grade 10.
2012 – The American International School of Lomé is accredited for Grades 11 and 12.
In our Grade 11 and Grade 12 Accreditation Visit Report, it reads, “The American International School of Lomé manages to offer as much or more flexibility, variety and rigor in its academics than many larger international schools”.
2016 – The American International School of Lome is recommended for re-Accreditation for another seven years.
