It is my pleasure to welcome you to the American International School of Lomé (AISL) website and the 2017– 2018 school year. We are delighted to know that you are interested in exploring our school and we want you to know that we have an exciting school year ahead,

AISL is an independent, coeducational day school offering an American style educational program for students in nursery school through grade twelve.   Supported by the U.S. Embassy in Togo, AISL is accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools in the United States.  Established in 1967 to serve the expatriate community in Lome, we welcome qualified students of all nationalities and backgrounds.

AISL is committed to providing a safe, challenging, and enriching academic environment for its students. Our mission is “to cultivate our students’ intellect and character in a multicultural family environment where individual potential, global perspective, and preparation for lifelong learning are developed through a flexible academic program.” This mission is realized through AISL’s  curriculum, programs, and activities.

At AISL we seek to provide our students with the skills, experiences, and habits of mind to become productive, contributing members of the global village.  This goal is achieved through the written and hidden curriculum, and the co-curricular and extracurricular programs we offer.  We are proud of our qualified and dedicated faculty and staff, supportive Board of Directors, and involved and committed parents and students. A close partnership exists between all stakeholders of the school, and this partnership is one of our most significant assets.
